Asad Ali Qureshi is a senior development sector leader and Chief Executive of SARHAD, with extensive experience in education reform, institutional development, and public-private partnerships. He has led strategic initiatives focused on improving access to quality education, strengthening community-based institutions, and building sustainable social sector models across underserved regions.
Under his leadership, SARHAD has expanded its footprint in educational development, capacity building, and collaborative partnerships with government and private stakeholders. His work reflects a strong commitment to transparency, impact-driven programming, and long-term institutional sustainability.
Asad combines strategic planning with on-ground implementation insight, ensuring that policy vision translates into measurable outcomes. He is particularly engaged in initiatives that support non-functional school revitalization, vocational education, and equitable access to learning opportunities.

Who We Are
Support Agency for Rural & Human Association’s Development (SARHAD)is legally recognized and operates under multiple statutory registrations in Pakistan. It is registered under Section 42 of the Companies Act with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP). It is also registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, dated July 28, 2003, with Registration No. 3050. In addition, the organization has been registered with the Charity Commission of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa since November 2020.
SARHAD is a leading national organization with over two decades of experience in delivering sustainable development interventions since 2003. SARHAD has successfully implemented more than 40 mega projects in close association with different national and international programs, including Family Health International (FHI), Abt Associates Inc., ASP-Aid, NRSP through USAID, AUSAID, NRC, UNDP, UNICEF, UNOCHA, Community World Services (CWS), RELO US State Department, Provincial Health Services Academy (PHSA), and Department of Health (DoH) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, etc. in the sectors of Health, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Education, and Energy. Through its community-driven and evidence-based approaches, SARHAD has built a strong reputation for effectiveness, accountability, and long-term impact. SARHAD places a high priority on quality assurance and accountability. The organization maintains a dedicated Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) section that reports directly to the Chief Executive, ensuring transparency, continuous learning, and timely decision-making across all projects. Its professional team comprises highly skilled experts across multiple disciplines, enabling the organization to respond to diverse development challenges with technical depth and contextual understanding. SARHAD has been honored by the President of PAKISTAN for its efforts and services during and after the 2009 floods.

Our Objectives
SARHAD PAKISTAN core objectives focus on sustainable, community-based development with a gender-sensitive approach, covering key areas such as:
✅ Healthcare & Reproductive Health – Providing primary healthcare, maternal & child health services, and HIV/AIDS prevention programs in collaboration with international partners.
✅ Education & Vocational Training – Offering non-formal education, teacher training, and vocational skills development to empower youth and women.
✅ Clean Water & Sanitation (WASH) – Implementing drinking water supply projects, sanitation systems, and hygiene awareness campaigns.
✅ Community Development – Strengthening local institutions and community-based organizations (CBOs) to ensure the sustainability of development initiatives.
✅ Disaster Relief & Emergency Response – Providing emergency aid, food, and shelter to disaster-affected communities, including internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Waziristan.
✅ Capacity Building – Enhancing the technical and management skills of CBOs, NGOs, and government institutions to ensure long-term community empowerment.
Our Journey & Achievements
SARHAD PAKISTAN commitment to community service has been recognized at the national level, including an honor from the President of Pakistan for its relief efforts during and after the 2009 floods.
📍 2003 – SARHAD was officially registered as an NGO.
📍 2009 – Acknowledged for disaster relief efforts during Pakistan’s floods.
📍 2015 – Expanded programs in healthcare, education, and water supply projects across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA.
📍 2022 – Managing Tehsil Headquarter Hospital (THQ) Mirali, North Waziristan under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP).
Today, SARHAD operates with a team of 230+ professionals with expertise in healthcare, WASH, agriculture, and community development, impacting thousands of lives.
